1 – Starman – David Bowie – Bowie may have been an artist but he was a pop star when it was all that mattered, this anthem for T Rex’s children stands head and shoulders above his 1990s and 200s work – A+

2 – How The Mighty Have Fallen – Margo Price – Here at least, her problem is certainly not songwriting prowess, it is production and a voice that needs more character – A

3 – Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) – The Rolling Stones – Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong huge song,  and if Mick isn’t Eddie, that’s the worst thing you can say about this sublime version – A

4 – Arrastarte-El – Ceu – A weak album but a strong dance ballad – B+

5 – Raise Your Horns – Amon Amarth – Obvious? Obviously, but in a good way – B+

6 – Always Crashing In The Same Car – David Bowie – arty Bowie, so forgot what I said above – A-

7 – War – Sammy Adams – His Jackson Five rip, and his best song for that reason only – C

8 – Livin’ Thing – ELO – Beatle-y Abbey Road-y second greatest moment in Jeff’s career – A

9 – Golden Years – David Bowie – So, this is arty and a pop stroke of mammoth proportions – A+

10 – Station To Station – David Bowie – his greatest moment – A+
