Architect Wannabe Kanye Still Wants To Run For President And Work For IKEA?
Poor Kanye, the more I hear him talk, the more I think he is not well in his head. The week brings another Kanye West interview with Annie Mac, broadcasted by the respectable BBC, but the clip isn’t available yet on their website, as the full interview will air Monday night on BBC Radio 1. However some brave people (it’s 2-hour long) have already transcribed the best parts, and there are plenty of them. With Kanye there’s no need to comment, his declarations are so crazy, that you scratch you head wondering,… whaaaaat????
First, we already knew about his fashion ambitions, but he declared he now wants to work with a famous Swedish furniture chain:
‘I have to work with IKEA — make furniture for interior design, for architecture and I know that if I do a minimalist apartment inside of a college dorm where the TV goes on the side of the wall… Yo IKEA, allow Kanye to create, allow him to make this thing because you know what, I want a bed that he makes, I want a chair that he makes — I want more products from Ye.’
According to the BBC, Kanye is very serious about it, he even visited IKEA’s head office in Almhult, south Sweden, earlier this year. They could have their own Känyø line, or whatever they need to add to his name to make it sound like a weird IKEA product, but I want to make one thing clear, IKEA makes cheap furniture, not architecture, Kanye can get easily confused. I guess he can have the job if he can assemble a Kvartal triple track rail or a Svärta bunk bed frame in one day.
As if the elections weren’t crazy enough, there is more madness to come, Kanye will save the USA in 2020:
‘We are numb, we’re numb to 500 kids getting killed in Chicago a year, we’re numb to the fact that it was seven police shootings in the beginning of July … we’re numb to places on the earth that we don’t live – like our life is okay but it’s okay for other people’s lives to not be okay. When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views, I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the truth. If there is anything that I can do with my time and my day, to somehow make a difference while I’m alive I’m going to try to do it.’
We all know that these elections have reached a new low, Trump has lowered the bar so much regarding the required qualifications to run for president, that at this point, anything goes, and a no-political-views candidate is not as absurd as it first looks. Seriously, his slogan campaign could be ‘a grönkulla in every household and a pair of Adidas on every foot – Kanye also plans to make more shoes, and I wonder how many jobs he wants?
You can listen to the whole interview here after Monday night, there is more and even a story about Kim cooking or rather not cooking greens for 3 hours!
