 On Monday night, the new band SKYSAW made its debut at the Echo in Los Angeles and they were a lot of anticipation as ex-Smashing Pumpkins’ Jimmy Chamberlin was at the drums: you could see right away, hipsters pressing themselves against the stage to get a better view of the guy who was playing in such a small venue. Another Track From Panda Bear, Surfer's hymn

    After ‘Tomboy', ‘You Can Count On Me’, and ‘Last Night At The Jetty’, you can now listen to ‘Surfer’s Hymn’, another track from ‘Tomboy’, Panda Bear’s highly anticipated album set to be released on April 12th. Panda Bear continues with his beach-y theme, giving us layered ethereal vocals drowning in wave sounds and busy, glittering, fireflies-like percussion. It’s less Brian Wilson-esque than ‘Last Night At The Jetty’, which I still prefer to this other track, but the vocals tend to compete with each other in a peak of repetitive harmonies.
