I don't know if there is enough cynicism in the world to express my contempt for another buncha rock stars doing the bare minium.
There might be a way to help Japan -though, truly, there isn't much that the West can or should want to do except for what the States has already done, meaning every thing requested of them. Mostly tech help in containing the nuclear reactors.
But that doesn't stop the usual suspects of butting in. To what end? Does anyboy really need to be told to help out oif they should choose to throw their bucks away. What can Bryan Adams to do help the situation? Not alone? I bet the Japanese wish they were.

Lo Reed will headline the event and confirmed performers include Phillip Glass& Hall Wilner, Laurie Anderson and Zorn as well as Bill Laswell, among others. Reed, Glass, Anderson and Ryuichi Sakamoto will perform during a two-hour "gala block" from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Proceeds from the concert, organized by John Zorn, will go towards the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund.
