money changes everything

It’s pretty amazing to think the holiday season isn’t too far off.  But we say that every year don’t we?  Cyndi Lauper is one of those artists who have aged with grace.  Not overly promoting herself and with very little scandal the ‘she bopper’ has become a pillar of the LGBT community.  Using her fame to earn cold hard cash in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

To be held at New York’s gorgeous Beacon Theater on December 7th, Cyndi is wranglin’ up her pals (including Rosie O’Donnell?) to ho ho ho your ass to the holidays for good cause.

“‘Home For The Holidays’ is once again going to be an amazing night of music and comedy in support of a cause close to my heart, homeless gay and transgender youth,” Lauper said.  “I’m proud that we have built a show that not only sells out every year, but has become well-known for bringing together a stellar array of artists to help change the world through an evening of incredible performances.”

“This year’s concert will help us continue to move our Forty To None Project’s work forward to help these young people live happy, healthy and productive lives.”

Oh it’s not just Rosie, other guest include Matt & Kim, The Indigo Girls, Pink (no I will not use the dumb-ass exclamation point i), The Hives, Nelly Furtado and.. Susan Sarandon?  Tickets are up for grabs now.. or gone if you don’t hurry.
