Eminem Is Coming Out In The Interview
‘The Interview’, Sony Pictures’ Christmas big release which wasn’t released in fear of a North Korea’s cyber attack, finally got a limited release, but history will tell if this was a good or bad move for a probably bad movie! I am saying this without having even seen it, but what do you expect from a movie you can already see on YouTube the day it is out? However, I don’t want to talk about the plot to assassinate Kim Jong-un which is the subject of the film, this is not the interesting part.
The interesting part is the YouTube clip that has appeared on the internet, showing Eminem interviewed by James Franco as Dave Skylark, a moronic talk show host, totally stunned by Eminem’s confession… During this 2-minute clip, Eminem is coming out! He admits he is gay! Okay calm down, it’s a role, it’s a movie… but because of the confusion due to the limited distribution of the film, this clip has confused a few people, judging by the comments posted on YouTube.
Eminem is well known for his homophobic lyrics, so admitting being gay several times in a row during a fake interview but looking damn serious, is totally puzzling. Because, if I believe that Eminem is not a homophobe, I think some of his followers take his lyrics seriously and are serious ones, and that’s the danger when you play with fire. And these people are so dumb that they are gonna take this seriously too!
‘The Interview’ was supposed to be a controversial movie because of the plot against Jong-un but this is the real controversy… Eminem may have accepted this cameo as a remorse, as the ultimate expiation of all his homophobic sins, something he had already partially done it when he sang with Elton John, but this one is different, he actually says he is gay, and since people have a harder and harder time to differentiate fiction from reality…
‘I’m more shocked that people haven’t figured it out yet; I mean, it’s kind of like I’ve been playing gay peek-a-boo,’ he says during the ‘interview’, ‘I’ve pretty much just been leaving a breadcrumb trail of gayness.’ This movie is probably very very bad, but this is actually very funny!
