I’m only writing this cuz I loved the film ‘Get Him To The Greek’, starring Russell Brand.
Now the job of getting Neil Diamond there should be simpler…
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of his epic album “Hot August Night’, Diamond’s second live album.
Recorded during one of 10 sold-out nights at the Greek, the album skyrocketed Diamond’s reputation as one of the best live acts. Diamond was on fire performing all of his hits and those he had written. We often forget that Diamond was a songwriter and not the ‘easy listening’ singer.
The album title comes from the first line of Diamond’s 1969 single “Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show.”
Now Diamond is planning to return to the scene of success, scheduling Aug. 11 and 16 for his 40th anniversary Hot August Night return.
The general onsale launches March 5. Of course that’s in LA, Diamond will eventually show up on the East Coast. Worth seeing in your lifetime.
