Passion – AWOLNATION – New school dance rock with a soulful sound and a snazzy hook  – B+

Money In The Bank – Baka Not Nice – He began his career as part of Drake’s security team and now he’s here, on this typical OVO dark brood plus, a little patois in him as well – B-

Her Eyes –  Barkley – Typical house beats with efficient backing – C+

playboy shit (feat. lil aaron) – blackbear – Premiered the video on pornhub, but it is businesss as usual R&B trap – C+

Kills To Be Resistant – Bully – The sophomore jinx seems to have passed the indie rockers over and out, this is a really strong little rocker – SINGLE OF THE WEEK –  B+

Chris Brown – High End – With that cold as ice Future in hand, this is a disturbed neo-soul chill siphoned through trap – B

Bring It On – Darius Rucker – At his very best, Darius is a terrific country songwriter, this isn’t his best – C

New – Daya – The 18 year old wunderkind blands out on typical EDM pop track – C+

Dark Horse – Devin Dawson – He grew up near Folsom Prison, which explains the dress in black comment, this is a country soul self portrait – C

Hello There – Dillon Francis, Yung Pinch – Percolated beat under heavy autotuned electronic r&b – B

Mother (Don’t Cry) – Ella Vos – Strange and sad with a lovely vocal new school pop – B-

Quizas, Quizas, Quizas – Gregory Porter – I’ve heard a lotta people cover this, apparently Gregory is channeling Nat King Cole but that’s not an easy thing to do, and he seems to be pushing it too much: soft, loud, but neither quite meshes. Still, what a voice – B-

100 Anos – He*Ash, Prince Royce, – A little lively for Bachata but it works for me – B

We Could Go back – Jonas Blue, Moelogo – Feel good house – C+

Touch –  Kehlani – This year’s model sure has her moments, this is a little meh – C+

Vault – Keyshia Cole – Chill neo soul snoozer – C+

Wishlist – Kiiara – Pretty but boring – C+

Deserve (feat Travis Scott) – Kris Wu – The new old neo with a slurve Travis verse – C+

Avoid – Lil Peep, Wicca Phase Springs Eternal – Soundcloud rap without the rap by the very strange Peep and his Morrissey wannabe buddy – B

First Love – Lost Kings, Sabina Carpenter – Catchy singer on EDM pop – B-

Just Like You – Louis Tomlinson – The last D with an unremarkable EDM pop track – C+

A Little Pain – Margo Price – Big in alt-country world but not based on this song – C+

HiLow – Minnesota – DJ bloopper – C

Up Down – Morgan Wallen, Florida Georgia Line – This divides the red from the blue states, you know you’re a redneck when you like this crap – MUST TO AVOID – C-

Too Much to Ask – Niall Horan – Sounds like 1D in ballad land – C+

SUTRA – Sebastian Yatra, Dalmata – Reggaeton beats with a heavy dose of Spain – C+

Wake Up Call – Theory Of A Deadman – Overcooked rock ballad – C

Headphones – WALK THE Moon – The first single was much better – C+
