Gummo – 6x9ine – Loud and vicious scream rap, the track haunts and the gangsta projects strongly – B

Girl Who cried Wolf – Ashe – Alt pop is where it’s at in 2017, this is timely putdown of predators which surges ever forward – B

Dubo Drop – A-Trak, Baauer – Baauer is the “Harlem Shake” auteur, though this doesn’t step out of A-Trak’s Houseish wheelhouse – B-

Seven Sticks Of Dynamite – AWOL Nation – A bluesy rock winner from a band very easy to love – B+

Other Worlds – Bassnectar, Dorfex Bos – When beats go ambient and yet are still loud and overwhelming – B

World Gone Mad – Bastille – One hit wonder get another hit on this nasty sounding horror – D

Questions Of faith – Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Snoozy gothy rocky piece without being remotely good… that lick doesn’t happen either – D+

Worth It – Danielle Bradbery – Country pop snooze – C-

I Know You Care – Ella Vos – More alt pop, this one is more pop than alt – C+

Walk On Water (featuring Beyonce) – Eminem – Eminem is a whiny little bitch who deserves a hard slap for this crap, Bey has another dog on her hand with a crap chorus – MUST TO AVOID – D

I’m With Her – See You Around – AKA Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O’Donovan, I liked an Aoife album a coupla months back. This sounds like the Roches if the Roches weren’t great – B-

Tip Toe – Jason Derulo – Business as usual electrop r&b –B-

Amor Amor Amor – Jennifer Lopez – Jenny goes reggaeton – B-

Woodstock – John Legend – The most boring song I have heard in my entire life – D

Wichita Lineman Live – Little Big Town, Jimmy Webb – Not bad but it is hard to go wrong – B-

Female – Keith Urban – nauseating insult to women everywhere – D

Slow It Down – Kim Petras – More tedious electro pop – C

Nobody Gets What They Want Anymore – Marlon Williams – There are a slew of alt singer songwriters who bore me to tears, this guy sounds a little like Scott Walker with a cold but the song isn’t gppd enough o give him a pass – C+

Wanted You – Nav, Lil Uzi Vert – heartache and heartbreak for emo rappers – B

#Natural – Paty Cantu, Juhn – Latin American pop goes electro – C+

Chirpin’ – Pell – Very catchy hook from the New Orleans rapper – B

Tu Heroe – Piso 21 – Great beats on this reggaeton pop business – B-

Jungle – Pitbull, Stereotypes, E=40, Abraham Mateo – E=40 rushes the pass on this tongue twister and Pitbull never changes – C+

Wake Me Up – Remy Ma, Lil Kim – The 90s are back and you can keep em on this boring slice of rap – C+

Crises – Rich Chigga, 21 Savage – Here’s a first, an Indonesian rapper cum comedian with a Southern gangsta. It shouldn’t work but it does – B

All I Got – Said The Sky, Kwesi – Power ballad EDM – C+

Snowman – Sia – It’s been a great year for new Christmas songs, Sia is in terrific voice (she sounds like Amy Winehouse) and the song is a triumph of construction and pop ballad – SINGLE OF THE WEEK – A-

Strangers – Sigrid – Norwegian alty electro pop singer songwriter, great bridge – B

Lemon To A Knife Fight – The Wombats – What do you get when you write a comedy song and it ain’t? – C+

Textin’ My Ex – T-Pain, Tiffany Evans – The king of autotune returns on a disappointing track – C+

Darkside – Ty Dolla $ign & Future (featuring Kiiara) – Kudos to Kiiara for a very good hook, too much autotune otherwise – B-
