'Hanging on', Active Child, Video Review

There is something in Active Child’s music that undoubtedly speaks about nature and large open spaces. I don’t know if it is the ethereal harp, the choir-boy falsetto vocals, the dynamism transpiring through the quietude of the performance (I saw him at the Echo last summer), or simply the overall hypnotic beauty of the music.

Even if his new video for ‘Hanging On’, directed by T.S.Pfeffer & Robert McHugh, looks at first like a documentary about fishing or Robert Redford’s ‘A River Runs Through It’, the nature theme is all over the video, which eventually rebounds on the title of the song: sometimes you should just let go.

‘Hanging On’ is the second single from singer-songwriter Pat Grossi’s album ‘You Are All I See’
