3 Bless – Ace Hood – The lyric is the usual started from the bottom stuff, but the flow is excellent here, when Ace spots it he is seriously great – B+

Fukk Sheep – A$AP Rocky, FKA Twigs – Another started from the bottom, when you are born poor you never really get over it it ever. FKA Twigs, enters on the second verse and it is a little Beatle-y Abbey Road the second side, the way they don’t quite mix and match but they sure try. Lyrically, their are some rap tricks I just worship, “I remember I was pooring, I was young and living homeless” – How do you change an adjective into a verb so cleverly.

White Fur – Dear Nora – Kathy Davidson is a great songwriter and even by her standards this is a masterpiece, it sounds like prime Jackson Browne and it isn’t just the lead guitar which rings like “Your Bright Baby Blues,” as the Portland, Oregon native embraces nature and the “moo-oo-o-utain”.

Parasomnia – Peach Kelli Pop – The most aptly named band in the world are elementally lo-fiy easy and pretty in this song of love and desire and unrequitedness in your dreams

What Would Meek Do? – Pusha T, Kanye West – In its own way, this is a part of Kanye’s continuing commentary on who he is and how he is perceived that began with “Ye vs. the People”. Ye isn’t as smart as he thinks he is here, but it doesn’t matter because it is a great song.

Home & Dry – Tracyanne & Danny – This and the Dear Nora song are so wonderful it makes you think that the problem isn’t melodies, or anomalies, maybe it is a deeper perception as to what will you do with these songs?

Eclipse – Wooden Shjips – I know what you’re thinking and you’re 100% right, this is not my scene. But this is a hypnotic , zoomy, beauty , and completely typical of the album, a hard steady beat, Dream Syndicatorly guitars and a dreamy sound.
