Pretending (feat. Jessie Reyez) – A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Jessie Reyez – Jessie has been having quite a moment, she sounds so uniquely herself that the woman is built for a chorus on a hip hop song, there I a ravishing sadness to her voice nd with A Boogie she gives a good one a hidden depth.

What Keeps You Up At Night – Dan + Shay – Much you like the album it is on, this I a simple country track with a gorgeous melody and a sweet message of love, Perhaps it has nothing more on its mind than to be the sweetest of ongs, but then, that is an end in itself, and an ease with a song I really useful in this unsettled time.

2 Legit – Freddie Gibbs – Freddie can rap a bar with the very bet of them but hi rapping I so good the rest of his tracks can feel a little underwhelming. Here he is lawyered up for another date with the Judge, but the sample is from “My Life” by Mary J. Blige. In’t it odd she doesn’t get sampled more

J-TREE – Gang Gang Dance – Sometimes more experimental than other, “J-Tree” is extremely catchy with a virtuoso vocal from Lizzi Bougatsos that has her whooping it up with an ineffable joy, and a sound that is like wave cresting EDM for an anthem minded audience.

Both of Us – Yellow Claw, STORi – The EDM duo are expert at pulling in disparate elements into their pop by numbers. It works well over a single, and they have already released seven of them off this album… not this way, however.
