David Bowie Is Crowded: I really wasn’t impressed with the “David Is” name, but it is so protean it allows you to make him anything. Having said that, the exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum I saw on Saturday was way too crowded to be any fun. I am thinking of making a return visit before it’s over, because being herded around three deep in people didn’t work for my concentration skills. Anyway, it wasn’t the greatest experience of my life…

Protesting For Gun Control: Is this the generations moment? Certainly Emma Gonzales is a perfect face of the revolution. My problem is more aesthetic, I don’t enjoy emotional overshare, it embarrasses me, I prefer distance and the nakedness puts me off. The protest, I’m all for that but note there is no soundtrack to the revolution.

New Music: That new Kyle single with Kehlani is aces in my book, Charlotte Day Wilson is new to me but she has a gorgeous sound that defies easy classification, like a dreamscape singer songwriter.

Old Music: Getting ready for the next Impressions album, and thinking on McCartney’s Twin Freaks…

Bimbo Alert: I don’t see how a man who on camera claimed to grab women by the pussy is gonna be much hurt by hookers, semi-hookers, and sewekers of arrangements, all of which POTUS has undoubtedly done.

Theatre: “Angels In America” opened to rave reviews, “Frozen” didn’t. I liked “AIA” a lot but didn’t appreciate the threadbare staging.

The Stock Market: Well, this is lousy news, it fell 700 points as it became clearer that no one has the slightest idea what they are doing.

Trade War: China are in the position where they do well if the US does well and better if they don’t.

POTUS: It really feels as though the country is at the whim of a man in way over his head and no one can stop him.

Roe Vs Wade: “An Ohio Bill Would Ban All Abortions. It’s Part of a Bigger Plan.” -Even in cases of life threatening, rape, or incest. And if a woman does have an abortion she can be charged with murder. According to the New York Times: “The anti-abortion movement has been trying to pass pre-viability abortion bans, like the Ohio bill, hoping that efforts to overturn them would lead to a challenge of Roe v. Wade that would end with the 45-year-old decision’s reversal in the Supreme Court.”

Have a nice week.
