Katy Perry is not a witch, are you reassured? Is it crazy to read an headline saying that a Los Angeles judge has sided with the pop star against a bunch of nuns who are accusing the famous pop star of witchcraft. This is the sensational part of the story, as told by the Daily Mail, and Sister Rose Catherine Holzman once said about Perry: ‘I’m sorry but I am just not into witchcraft and I am just not into people who are into witchcraft. It disturbs me, and that was our mother house and our retreat house and it’s sacred ground’.
To sum things up, Katy Perry has been trying to buy a former Roman Catholic convent for the past two years and has encountered plain resistance from the five nuns living in the property. Perry first made a $14.5 million as she thought she would be able to buy the convent from the archdiocese of Los Angeles, then the nuns pushed to sell it to businesswoman Dana Hollister because they couldn’t stand Perry,… so the stupid witchcraft accusations.
Fortunately judge Stephanie Bowick rules on Tuesday that the nuns ‘did not have authority to sell the property to Hollister’and ‘nevertheless failed to validly consummate the transaction’.
The nuns didn’t want to sell the convent to Perry period, and this has nothing to do with the place being a sacred ground, Dana Hollister wanted to turn the place into a hotel and this is not particularly respectful… But this has everything to do about Perry being a pop star and serving the devil, or something twisted like this. According to the Daily Mail, the nuns called Perry ‘disgusting’ and asked Perry about ‘selling her soul to the devil’. In a juicy exchange, Sister Callanan quoted Perry saying: ‘I have this tattoo on my wrist and it says Jesus.’ And the nun admitted she wanted to say, ‘yes and what is the tattoo on your behind?’
This story has the vibe of the current anti-women climate, calling a female pop star a witch reminds me the ‘lock her up’… ‘burn the witch’ of Donald Trump’s campaign. These nuns sound utterly stupid, Katy Perry is a Disney pop star completely harmless and very PG 13 despite her sexy video, there’s nothing dangerous in her lifestyle, or with her image… this is just a petty fight and several sexually frustrated nuns living in another century.
