It's the definition of indignant to sit in front of a computer screen and cry.
Call me indignant.
My Chemical Romance released a music video for their song "The Kids From Yesterday". The song has always held a special place in my heart because of the lyrics. It really is the MCR anthem to me, and it is truly symbolic of how things get better, times are rough, but you just need to remain yourself.
The video is concert footage from the very beginning. Seeing such a positive crowd reaction, and the most amazing band feed off of eachother makes me proud to be a fan. Watching the masses appreciating the music that makes me happy and makes me believe that things will be okay is an amazing feeling because it's clear they're feeling that too. The power of music is beautifully displayed in the video and it's so pure and entertaining. It's stunning and real.
The tune still has the same impact on me as when I first heard it. It's gorgeous and perfect. The best lyrics are:
"And you only live forever in the lights you make
When we were young we used to say
That you only hear the music when your heart begins to break
Now we are the kids from yesterday"
My Chemical Romance isn't a band. The people who listen to them aren't their fans. MCR and their listeners are a family. The MCRmy will live on.
