On Monday October 2nd, Bleachers is at the Grammy Museum, Shelby Lynne & Allison Moorer at Largo At The Coronet, Sonder are playing a sold out show at the Teragram Ballroom, Dark Rooms are at The Hi Hat with PLEXXAGLASS, Esbie FonteWicked Woman is at El Cid and Molly Lewis And Her Band are at Zebulon. Because it is a new month, we have new October residencies but there are a few changes, Goon and Alyeska start theirs at the Echo, and it’s the first time I have heard about a joint residency, Mossbreaker and special guests are also announced. The Satellite has moved its residencies to Wednesdays, although its Monday nights are still free! NÉONHÈART  play at The Satellite with Hawk Percival & Friends, and Charly & Faust

On Tuesday October 3rd, Chance The Rapper is at the Hollywood Bowl, MisterWives are at the Fonda with Smallpools & Vinyl Theatre, Big Thief are at the Bootleg with Little Wings and Mega Bog, Sheer Mag are at the Hi Hat with Tenement and Futura, Geographer is at the Moroccan Lounge with Smoke Season, Richie Sambora and Orianthi are att the Grammy Museum, Luke Combs is at the Roxy with Ray Fulcher, Josh Phillips and Jon Langford is at Amoeba with guitarist John Szymanski to perform and sign copies of his new album ‘Four Lost Souls’.

On Wednesday October 4th, Chance The Rapper  is at the Hollywood Bowl, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real are at the Fonda Theatre with Anders Osborne & Lola Lennox, Sheer Mag are at the Echo with Tenement and Gun Outfit, Big Thief  are at Highland Park Ebell with Little Wings, Mega Bog and Dylan Meek, Robert Earle Keen is at El Rey Theatre with The Wild Reeds, Gillian Welch is at Orpheum Theatre, Sean “Diddy” Combs  is at the GRAMMY Museum, Tanks And Bangas are at the Teragram Ballroom with Sweet Crude for a sold out show, Decorator start their residency at The Satellite with The Unending Thread, The Mosaics. Also, Kacy & Clayton / GospelbeacH are the Moroccan Lounge, and Alain Johannes will make a special apparition at the Redwood Bar during Blackbird Days residency

On Thursday October 5th, Gorillaz is at the Forum, Ms. Lauryn Hill & Nas is at the Hollywood Bowl, The War On Drugs are at the Greek Theatre with special guest Phoebe Bridgers, Vance Joy  is at the Fonda Theatre with Amy Shark & Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish has a sold out show at the Echo with Thutmose, T-Pain is at The Roxy with Felly, Melvin Williams is at The GRAMMY Museum, Hollie Cook is at the Moroccan Lounge with Brainstory, and Fireball Ministry are at Amoeba Music, just before their apparition at Cal Jam 17, to celebrate ‘Remember the Story’, their new album. Their bassist Scott Reeder was in KYUSS to give you an idea.

On Friday October 6th, Coldplay is at the Rose Bowl Stadium, Sturgill Simpson  is at the Greek Theatre with special guest Fantastic Negrito, Saint Etienne  is at the Fonda Theatre with Shawn Lee, The Mavericks are at The Regent Theater, The Cribs are at the Teragram Ballroom with Paws, SG Lewis  is at the El Rey Theatre with TOBi & Yoshi Flower, The Woggles  are at the Echo with the Darts, The Green Machines and the Red Pears.

On Saturday October 7th, it’s time for Cal Jam 17 at Glen Helen Regional Park headlined by the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age plus tons of bands including Cage the Elephant, Liam Gallagher, The Kills, Royal Blood…. but beside this Kings Of Leon are at the Hollywood Bowl, the explosive couple made of The Flaming Lips and Mac DeMarco will take over the Shrine Expo Hall, St. Vincent  is at Paramount Pictures Studios, Scorpions are at The Forum with special guest Megadeth, Between The Buried And Me  is at the El Rey Theatre with The Contortionist, Polyphia & Toothgrinder, and Eagle Rock Music Festival 2017 kicks off its season on Colorado Blvd

On Sunday October 8th, Janet Jackson is at the Hollywood Bowl, Marc Anthony is at the Forum, Cut Chemist is at the Echoplex.
