Ted Nugent at BB Kings on Tuesday? This is the right wing GOP’s equivalent of that Ski Mask gig at the Studio At Webster Hall last month. Ted, sick of shooting innocent bears through the head with M16s, puts his head in the lion’s den in Hillary Clinton Central to perform for what remains of white trash in nyc. You have no idea how much I hope he sucks, I am NOT looking forward to writing a sparking red hot rave for the most hated man in rock not named Kid. The scary thing is, the man can play guitar and he might just pull it off…  but there’s only one way to find out.

Monday – Earth Wind And Fire and Chic – Madison Square Garden – I’ve seen EW&F maybe three times in the past year and Chic, without the original backup singers who weren’t invited and Bernard Edwards, who died at the age of 47 twenty years ago and therefore can’t make it, it is really Nile Rodgers and backing band. NOW, last time I saw Niles  was at Hammerstein Ballroom and Tavares blew em off stage. Still, what price “Le Freak”?

Monday – Herbie Hancock – Beacon Theatre – Jazz superstar pianist at play.

Tuesday – LOGIC PRESENTS: Everybody’s Tour –  Barclay Center – I can’t take Logic but Joey Bada$$ is opening

Tuesday – Michelle Branch – Webster Hall – If you can’t get into the Webster Hall final show before they close for renovations and new ownership, try this one.

Wednesday – John Doe (Of X), August Wells, Johnny Leitera of Tuff Sunshine –  The Safari Room at El Cortez – The acceptable face of Americana.

Thursday – Buckingham Mcvie – Beacon Theatre – I remain astoundingly unconvinced by the album, but cmon, Lindsey wrote “Holiday Road” and McVie wrote “Over My Head” so be humble.

Thursday – Maxi Priest – Beacon Theatre –  King of Lover’s Rock

Friday – Yestival: Yes, Todd Rundgren & Carl Palmer’s Elp Legacy – Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk  –  Wow, prog rock lives… but barely.

Friday – Jane Wiedlin – Iridium – You’ve heard of the Go-Gos? , well this is the Go.

Saturday – Kendra Foster – Hearst Plaza, Lincoln Center – Part of Lincoln Center Out of Doors, and free, this is a must see. Why? Let them tell you: “A longtime member of the P-funk family and an integral 21st-century voice of its legacy, Kendra Foster also co-wrote eight songs on D’Angelo’s Grammy Award–winning album Black Messiah. In the past few years she’s stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist of magnetic power. With smoky vocals, jazz-cut melodies, and high-end, neo-soul production, Foster wields a vast musical vocabulary, spanning jazz, funk, soul, R&B, hip-hop, rock, and electronica, with singular sophistication.”

Graceland Presents Elvis Live In Concert – Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk -I’m betting he’s a no show.
