I am not a big fan of Beyonce in concert, even in the toned town Roseland gig a coupla years ago I found her difficult. However, Lemonade will absolutely end up in my top five albums of the year and even so, as pop culture moments go, it couldn’t be bigger than this one. Tuesday and Wednesday at Citifield.

Tuesday – GARY U.S. BONDS 8th Annual Birthday Bash w/ Special Guests – BB Kings – Assume Bruce won’t show and also assume you will still get “This Little Girl”

Wednesday – WFUV Presents Benjamin Clementine – Webster Hall – I saw him earlier this year at Mercury Lounge and he was terrific. Consider this a must see.

Wednesday – The Prettiots – Rough Trade – “On a scale of one to Plath I’m like a four…” Terrific duo, great debut album, just a pity they aren’t playing the city.

Friday, Saturday  – Mudcrutch Are: Mike Campbell, Tom Leadon, Randall Marsh, Tom Petty, B –  Webster Hall – Fine, but how else are you gonna cozy up to the bassist?

Friday – Jeff The Brotherhood – MHOW – Is the “L” train dead yet? If not, why not one more trip to the borough that never sleeps.

Saturday – : Bli Summer Jam, Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, Iggy Azalea, Alessia Cara and more – Jones Beach – A veritable who’s who of second tier pop bands.
