It is meant to rain on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday, where The Killers open, is a wash out by definition. But the line up has moments: Janet Jackson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Migos (if Outset is out of jail), Gucci Mane, St. Vincent… this is impressive stuff, band by band maybe better than Gov Ball. Friday thru Sunday at Randall’s Island.

Monday, Tuesday  – Britney Spears – Radio City Music Hall – Britney is taking her Vegas show on the road -a darn good idea.

Monday – Cowboy Junkies – City Winery – They’ve always been too withdrawn for my taste, Americana before the name existed, so I am pleased to announce that their latest album is pretty good.

Tuesday – Panic! At The Disco: Pray for the Wicked Tour w ARIZONA, Hayley Kiyoko –  Madison Square Garden – The new Panic! has pleased no one, and ARIZONA are a bore… Hayley Kiyoko is a must see.

Tuesday – Arctic Monkeys with Mini Mansions – Forest Hills Stadium – The UK working class yobs, become stars, shag models, lose their minds crew, have a difficult but worth the time new album.

Tuesday – Deafheaven, Drab Majesty, Uniform – Brooklyn Steel – black metal stalwarts go soft in a hard way on their newbie.

Wednesday – The Rails – Mercury Lounge – A part of the Thompson family tree, brings Briticana to the US.

Wednesday – Courtney Barnett, Julien Baker, Vagabon – BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival at Prospect Park Bandshell, – That Julien opening for Courtney is queer identified rock that the little girls will understand.

Thursday- Katey Sagal And The Reluctant Apostles – City Winery – PEGGY BUNDY GOES AMERICANA!!! There is a meet and greet, wow, meet and greet Katy Sagal??? Wow, just wow.

Friday – BUSH* THE CULT * Stone Temple Pilots-Revolution 3 Tour – Jones Beach – The return of 1990s rock.
