We’ve waited all year for Jingle Ball and here it is at last: On Friday at Madison Square Garden please join Justin Bieber, The Chainsmokers, Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, Ellie Goulding and on and on, as the bands behind the hits show up! It will be awesome because it always is, and while we miss Taylor Swift, well, maybe next year!

Monday – Steve Earle & City Winery Present 2nd Annual Keswell Benefit Concert – The Town Hall – I am really bored with Earle, and the inclusion of Shawn Colvin and Graham Nash hardly ups the ante. The cause, children with autism, however, does.

Monday – Cam’ron – Highline Ballroom – If he never lived up to his S.D.E. expectations, he never sold em out either.

Wednesday – Sunday – Mariah Carey: All I Want For Christmas Is You – I’ve been planning to catch this show for a coupla years, I’m going next week but if you can’t wait, one way or the other expect her in Vegas before five years are out.

Thursday – An Evening with Gary Clark Jr. An Intimate Solo Performance – Carnegie Hall – Some of my friends think he is the most overrated guitarist ever. I think he has a terrific sound if not a genius by any stretch. Catch him here or wait for his opening slot for Clapton at MSG next year.

Thursday – Kacey Musgraves: A Very Kacey Christmas Tour – The Town Hall – If I wasn’t going to Jingle Ball on Friday (and Bon Iver on Saturday), I’d go to this.

Saturday – Bon Iver – Hammerstein Ballroom – The last time I saw Bon Iver they were headlining Radio City and they were great. This time they are playing their entire latest album, 22, A Million. I have a friend, a big Bon Iver fan, who swears it is classic. I can’t hear it and I’ve tried. Perhaps in concert will do the trick, if not there is always the oldies to close down the evening.

Saturday – Gloria Gaynor – BB Kings – A classic soul diva will have more than just “I Will Survive” to bring you Christmas cheer.

Saturday – The Gloria Estefan Tribute Band – S.O.Bs – What took em so long?
