An 80s country superstar summit arrives at the Beacon Theatre on Wednesday, dubbed the LSD tour reaches the Beacon on Wednesday. The L is Lucinda Williams and the S is Steve Earle , I have seen L numerous times on stage, and S twice this year alone, they alone always worth seeing and a pretty ace line up, but the D is Dwight Yoakam and a country legend who I have never managed to see at all. Enjoying a lateish career reboot, Dwight has gone from strength to strength in the past few years, and if you haven’t ever seen him, this is definitely a bucket list performance.

Monday – Bilal / Ayo (Co-Bill) – Sony Hall – Neo-soul mastermind is a s great as practitioner of beautiful soulscapes as anybody out there, the intensely musical multi-tasking Ayo has a lot of reggae in her DNA.

Tuesday, Wednesday – Albert Lee – Iridum – The master fingerpicking all sessions UK born country go to guitarist

Wednesday – Def Leppard / Journey – MSG – Def Leppard is the go to 80s heavy metals go to guys, Journey aren’t.
