Sleigh Bells has released a video for 'Comeback Kid', a song off their upcoming release ‘Reign of Terror’, announcing it on Twitter with:

‘made that video in and around my hometown of jupiter, florida during xmas break. bigups peggy's grocery. I WILL BUY MUSTARD.’

First, I didn’t know what to do with this song when I heard it, it’s a much more tamed version of their wild ear-bleeding explosive sound,it is as if they had removed all the distortion and aggressiveness from their epic numbers, leaving only Alexis’ sweet vocals.

The video gives it some life, the scenery is sun-drenched 80s Florida with a lot of Alexis and her famous bangs, as she jumps on a bed in a red robe witha rifle or wears a black leather jacket,… sure she is sexy, but is that enough?

However, in a press release, the duo explained that there will also be ‘songs that are as crushing and authoritative as their title suggests’ and that ‘they're effortlessly robust and heavier than any of the band's previous output … the sonic equivalent of a beautiful shotgun to the head.’

I hope so, but watching this video, I was thinking they had focused more on the visual than on the music.
