Comment: First the anything but the Most Anticipated Album Of The Week (acronymed: MAAOTW), and I think we can all agree that as iffy as Papa Roach may well be, Rascal Flatts are a straight drag. Now on to the good stuff, Wavves have never been better than they were around 2010, now they (he) seems a little stuck in the ordinary punk pop instead of straddling greatness. Still… better than the average rock band by a long shot. The Mountain Goats I admire more than like, Snoop Dogg hasn’t made a great album since Dre was producing him, Misterwives are better than Paramore but what does that tell you?, Linkin Park are the best of a rotten load of mainstream rockers, Erasure should always be better than they are and I tend to quite like em. But the MAAOTW goes hands down to the Thelonius Monk reissue, not available since 1960.
