Comment: Azealia Banks is the obvious choice for most anticipated of the week, except if I name her it will be THE THIRD TIME I’ve been promised this fucking album, so, no. Natalie Prass is on First listen and it is a very good album, Brockhampton (who I hope to catch at Gov Ball next week) are a touch too hip for my tastes. Let’s double back and deal with least anticipated: Roger Daltrey, Father John Misty, The Brian Jonestown Massacre… the only reason I am not including Neko Case is because I like her new single…  I am going a little left field and choosing the greatest jam band who didn’t break when I said they would back in 2012 for most anticipated. I wrote this then: “(Maps & Atlases) were a jam band noodling and improvising on spacey, complicated string modulations fronted by Dave Davison who, stick thin with long stringy light brown hair and a beard, seems to to have wander in from a three day festival of peace love and music,. They were the next Phish.” I have great expectations.
