Comments: Five years ago a new Blake Shelton album was greeted with great joy but that “hyper-focused on getting pregnant” update and an average single leaves us in serious distress. Maroon 5 have reached the top ten only once in the three singles leading up to next Friday. Kid Rock being an asshole isn’t enough for me to dismiss his music, his output in the 2010s sure is. It is between Sam Smith, who I split the difference with on the two singles (I loved “Pray) and Shamir, a supremely lovely guy with the voice to match it. I’m going with Shamir.
