your boss, not mine

Oh for the love of The Boss! This Jersey dude is so chock full of fanatics its amazing.  I mean he has covered decades and still goes strong.  He is not the most handsome, the most talented nor the most cutting edge performer of all time but that guy can retain a fan base like I can retain water.

As a non follower its hard for me to imagine the excitement to be felt by so many at the announcement of the new film “Springsteen and I’, just looking at this clip does nothing for me at all- II suppose its similar to the kids who lined up for a Justin Bieber film- but just much older and less cute.

The film, produced by Ridley Scott Associates and directed by Baillie Walsh, explores Bruuuuuuce’s music and interviews with the die hard near stalker-fans who have been most affected by it.

It’s described as “by the fans, for the fans” and uses previously unseen performance footage to reveal “how 40 years of iconic music became the soundtrack to so many lives.”

Scott says: “This beautifully crafted film provides a unique insight into the powerful bond between a recording artist and those who connect so profoundly with him.”  That could be some of the worse quotes I’ve ever seen to promote a film.  The good news is the trailer has some pep to it- so that may perhaps save the day.

Springsteen & I will be launched to audiences worldwide on July 22.
