At least much better
the test of time is whether you are still listening to it a week after it was released

LCD Soundsystem and Yeah Yeah Yeahs play 2 shows at the Hollywood Bowl
I’ll see a young band like them become that popular and think, ‘Please God, don’t let them self-destruct’. Because it happens, you know. But they seem like a band of brothers. Those four dudes seem like they’re doing really well and will be for a while.’
“You can reach that level without turning into that. Like Nirvana played bigger shit than that and it’s probably a different show every night. You don’t have to take that route, you can get that level of success with those size venues, that sort of thing, but still treat is as a spontaneous show at a small club.”
Much better than the singles collection, elbow is growing on me and growing on me. The band broke through a couple of years but never really made it all the way for me till now. Indeed, qute the opposite. But I went back to some of their earlier material and it may have been my ears letting me down. Whatever, this is definitely a keep.
The Brit Awards effect, not unlike the Grammys. see one lousy album after another reach the top of the charts. And look at that, four of these albums could certainly be considered modern soul UK-EDM style; what Rudimental and Disclosure have brought together…

Are Haim touring the UK? Interesting they’re back on the charts as are Arctic Monkeys for some reason best known to the rest of the world, I never forgave them after a terrible set at MSG.
One thing is sure, these guys were cool and not the type to give a lecture on how people should enjoy their live moment and leave their phones alone for an hour or two,… I guess I had never seen so many iPhones raised at the same time than during the great elastic-bluesy guitar noise of ‘Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair’ or their hit ‘I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor’,… the whole concert must have been entirely recorded bit by bit, with this constantly-erected electronic forest
I wonder, will Jessie J, once it is released Stateside, kill us here and put her into Ellie Goulding territory, a place I always figured she should be.
Interestingly enough, this is the return of the rock band, it opens with Arctic Monkeys (whose album will be at # 7 on the US Charts next week) and ends with Placebo, and the Manics at # 2, garage blues rockers the Temperance Movement at # 9.
