a Cat Power’s song is always deeply personal, painful and soothing at the same time

Dwight Yoakam is at the Greek Theatre on Thursday
‘They were all wanderers, and I am lucky to be among them’
I will have to get there very early I guess.
Fall Out Boy at Amoeba and Cat Power at Zebulon? Good luck to get into these two gigs!
‘who was your saddest celebrity encounter?’
The show will take place on October 12th, at the Orpheum theater, downtown Los Angeles, and the tickets will be on sale this Friday, October 2nd at 10 am PT via Ticketmaster. Ticket prices will range between $55.00 – $99.00 plus additional fees, but I am ready to bet that these tickets will disappear fast
Paul didn’t play the nostalgia vibe too much, of course there were plenty of old songs, but some new ones too, and his dynamism on stage and simplicity while talking to the huge crowd was so comforting. The last time the True Groove All Stars performed was a more than memorable gig at the Blue Note last year, but this one promises to be even better. Not only does Marla Mase have an excellent new album just released but latest True Groove signee James Chance will be there. Shout for “I Don’t Want Nobody To Give Me Nothing”. On Tuesday at the Cutting room
But, tell me, which other performer sees his or her performance interrupted just after the third song by a torrent of flowers delivered by fans, and followed by an effusive demonstration of love with gifts, books arriving on stage as if it was Christmas three weeks in advance?
