How do you define a traditionalist in modern country music – a person who sings about alcohol in terms of heartbreak instead of a good time.
The three at the top got a lift from the CMA Awards, a show that made Stapleton’s album, which I quite like back in September, a huge hit. Still, what this says more than anything is that with the end of pure album sales, the US has become closer to the UK where a TV show has long time been able to propel a band or three.
