I was lucky, beside Ringo Starr’s 75th birthday (above) I have attended a lot of concerts and events.
Dwight Yoakam gave us quite an arena show on Saturday night, with a long set of honky-tonk and rock songs, putting some rhinestone in country, literally, as his denim vest was decorated with a sparkling music notes on the back and each member of his band was shining in black sparkling vests.
Whipkey’s strong lyrical command and virtuoso guitar work is equally mesmerizing. He’s currently touring his much- anticipated follow up “Underwater”, a collection Rock NYC raved as a, “Purists dream of electrified awesomeness.”

The 80s country superstar, had the twang and the bite and a great band most of the time to be the biggest star of the decade. Although a country fella, who crossed over into punk and new wave playing the local club scene in L.A. This track is a Lefty Frizzell cover and he plays it straight with a yodel in his voice.
