Panorama’s problem is they think New York is LA,
It seems there’s no in between among female artists, they are either too superstars or second-line-on-Coachella-poster.
James makes a nice point about people who feel betrayed…
Based on the simplest of romantic declarations, him to her about her, “Never change”, him to her about him, “I can change” and a falsetto which caresses the music just out of reach, the song has a simple romatic yearn and a deep seated loss.it is like James is stretching his hand to her, and also, like it is too late. The longing can’t save it, the pleas feel as though they are falling on deaf ears.
Heaps Of Sheep – Robert Wyatt – Perhaps his single most accessible song to date, finds the paraplegic dreaming that he is wandering on the seashore. Insomniac Robert’s goose was cooked till finally the freedom of dreams lets him walk again.
It was all so celebratory and sad at the same time. Funky horns, full choirs, guest stars and friends, performer heavy stage, howling, rocking beats, along beautiful synth hooks and back beats, banks of computers, overflowing stage, singers and musicians crowding each other
Let Her Dance – The Bobby Fuller Four – It is to Bobby Fuller’s credit that Marshall Crenshaw’s cover doesn’t run the band out of town on a pole -indeed, as great as Crenshaw’s cover was, Fuller had all the highlights on this power pop early rock and roll triumph from the beginning – A+
