Iman adores her, but I find her to be a rather boring and calculating woman, while her songs are predictable and commercial,… but what do I know, she has been nominated for more than 470 awards and has won 231!

So with “Wildest Dreams” Part One of the masterplan, meeting Katy’s five hits off Teenage Dream and one more and she is done and she absolutely has it easy. “This Love” will do it just like that -a wonderful song and a made to model hit love track and that will give her # 6. But what other movement? None whatsoever, though Billboard believe The Weeknd will lose its spot at the top next week

What’s going on there? Why suddenly so much young blood with old guys? True, Grohl is not that old, and Stamos not that young, but the duo Jagger-Swift singing about sex is rather disturbing. Is there an urgent need for septuagenarians to stay relevant for the young generation?

If she manages to surpass 11 million units sold, I don’t know how you could possibly follow it. I’ve long felt that the sheer hugeness of Adele’s achievement paralyzed. She couldn’t see any way to compete with herself and fiddled and faddled for years on end (the promise is 26 will be out later this year, but who knows?).

Taylor Swift released this mini movie/big production for ‘Wildest Dreams’ on Sunday, and it looks like a Karen Blixen remix with her song for soundtrack. Nothing in the song suggests Africa, but this is nevertheless where the video was shot, because Taylor probably thought she would look good in colonial outfit or Scheherazade veils in front of lions and exotic animals.

When he talked to Gay Star News two days ago, Sir Ian McKellen had this to say about the famous pop star when he was asked if he was part of Taylor Swift’s famous squad:
‘I’m not. When I was living in Peter Jackson’s apartment in New York, Taylor Swift bought it while I was there and I was thrown out before I wanted to leave! That hardly puts me in Taylor Swift’s team, does it? You look shocked.’

‘My advice to those that are butthurt? Sit on the bidet and let it wash the shit away…‘Honestly I was treated like shit for no reason by the monster and thusly I’ve been called every disgusting slur there is #1989’… ‘Tired of everyone sucking up to the power. Just stop feeding the monster! Goodnight’… after a few more tweets he disappeared from Twitter, deleting his account.

That is one of the more asinine comments in recent history, the truth is that $250 a shot, Avril should be ashamed she can’t even get within arms length of the poor girl and all Taylor did was like it. I am not an all Taylor all the time guy (at least not this year), but she is miles ahead of nearly everybody not the late great Davy Jones when it comes to the fanbase.

With Taylor Swift on my mind this morning, I’ve been listening to her 1989 live boot and I hadn’t realized at the time but the woman has gotten to the point where she simply talks too much. Being taught life lessons by Taylor Swift is the moral equivalent of learning about humility from Donald Trump. Having said that, it is Wednesday and I am ready for another set of new recordings.

I stumbled on this story and it took me a while before realizing it was not a joke…. Is Ryan Adams’ creative pipe drying out that he is recording a whole album of others’ songs? Or is he riding the Taylor Swift’s successful wave? I am not sure this new project is quite bizarre: Ryan Adams is recording Taylor Swift’s famous album 1989 in its entirety in the style of the Smiths.

‘I feel like I wasn’t ready to be friends with [West] until I felt like he had some sort of respect for me, and he wasn’t ready to be friends with me until he had some sort of respect for me—so it was the same issue, and we both reached the same place at the same time.
I became friends with Jay Z, and I think it was important, for Jay Z, for Kanye and I to get along. . . . And then Kanye and I both reached a place where he would say really nice things about my music and what I’ve accomplished, and I could ask him how his kid’s doing.’

Her Mom shared with me that she received a text from Richa explaining how Taylor said, “even though things are hard they will get better” and mentioned her Dad. It was a comforting moment for both. Of course, adults can see a light at the end of the tunnel but kids need more experience, growth to know things will improve and maybe they need to hear it from a super star to believe it.

She is GLAMAZING (glamorous, and amazing). When I was younger, and just started to know her, she had the most beautiful voice and still does!! She inspired me to dance and sing, and I’m not just saying this, it’s true! I can’t wait another two years to see her concert because, yeah, I’ll be there without a doubt!! I love her so much!!!!!!!!!

Taylor Swift is one of our greatest stars, a lovely, compassionate woman who through the social media has made a direct connection with, and improved the lives of, millions of teenage girls and one middle aged man. She writes superb songs that sell millions and performs them very well. If the 1989 World Tour was an Impressionist painting it would be a Matisse -now how bad blood can that be?

What sort of fools do they take us for? Really, what a pathetic little maneuver. If this wasn’t a set up from beginning to end, what does the word set up actually mean? It is a wretched little business move by a rich, smart woman who lost any sense of moral balance. Or, again, that is my perception of the situation.

This is all about Taylor Swift and two nights at Metlife, the eagerly anticipated 1989 reaches ground zero (nearly, oddly enough no nyc gig though I did catch a preview of this show at Jingle Ball last December). I have tickets for both nights, pretty good seats as well, and I have sky high hopes that this will be her best show ever. Still, perhaps it is time she began including more of her old catalog? We will see this Friday and Saturday.

She changed about 9 times. All cute sparkly dresses. She opened with You Belong With Me. She encored with Should’ve Said No and danced in the rain, like another past performance

You Are In Love – Taylor Swift – As my own personal Taylor Swift backlash continues unabated, I so regret she lost her balance and became removed from the world she created and I guess I’ll feel that way till I see her on stage next week. Meanwhile, this song, written for Lena Dunham, reminds us how though the world has changed her, it hasn’t infected her songwriting – A

But this is beside the point, there’s more to the story, some people are becoming more and more suspicious that the whole deal was just a stunt, and that Swift was secretly cooperating with Apple from the beginning. Who are these people, some new conspiracy theorists? They are random faces on Twitter expressing doubt, but also Tom Conrad, Pandora’s co-founder, who tweeted a series of interesting sentences:

‘This contract is particularly egregious in that it not only contains an all out rights grab on the photographers’ work,’ said Goodman to Factmag, ‘whilst limiting their editorial control and ability to earn from that work — and does so without compensation — but because it does so under threat of criminal damage or destruction of property.’

What Billboard have that other people don’t is the numbers to back up their awards, so the multi-platinum 1989 is a no brainer winner for this years awards. Billboard is all about the charts and as all about the charts go, it is where it is at. Which means the only award they didn’t hand to Taylor was Top New Artist (they gave it to Sam Smith instead).

No surprise to see Blur at # 1… every album since Parklife has done the exact same thing. Ps: remember how they didn’t put “Popscene” on the UK version of Modern Life Is Rubbish because they were pissed it didn’t chart? They are doing the exact same thing with the US.

But I suppose this is probably very different for Avicii and Wiz Khalifa (also high ranked on Echo Nest hotness list).
