Thirty five years go by so fast. That is how long it has been since the release of the infamous "Never Mind The Bullocks" album by punk Godfathers The Sex Pistols.
Universal UK will produce and distribute an expanded edition of Bullocks for this big event. The album, was quite controversial at its time. The world "bullocks' in the title was considered offensive So offensive that a record store manager in the U.K. prosecuted under the Indecent Displays Control Act for putting the album in the front window.
So what is 'expanded'? Karen Simmonds of Universal said "To be given the opportunity to re-evaluate the Sex Pistols catalogue is every music lover's dream. We're looking forward to working with the band and celebrating their impact on worldwide culture."
Scares me to think it was 're-evaluated' I wonder if there will be the obligatory DVD of live footage (they can rip off the 'Filth and The Fury'!) or perhaps include a embossed safety pin.
No matter how you feel about 'punk' listening to The Pistols is required rock and roll. No longer as dangerous as it once sounded, yet it still gives that boost of adrenaline that made it great in the first go round.
