The Trumps And The Clintons: What do these two royal families have in common? They are both for sale to the highest bidder. The Trumps are traveling around the world offering Green cards for $500,000. That’s some deal they’ve got there and while perfectly legal it is so unbecoming for the first family as to be repulsive. Meanwhile, how many times does Hillary Clinton have to lose the Presidency before she stops taking money for it? CNN reported that Clinton “is currently working with former aides and donors to build an organization that will look to fund and invest in groups that have impressed her since her 2016 election loss.”. Really? She wants to RAISE MORE MONEY? Every time I warm up to Hillary just a little bit, she reminds me of what a horrible person she is. I’ve been writing how I hate her not as a person but as a politician. Actually, I hate her as both. It isn’t that she doesn’t have a soul, it is that her soul is hidden in an adding machine. Trump is worse. A big, fat, stupid bully, who fooled some of the people all of the time. Look at that picture: Bill is senile, Hillary is a monster, Donald is a heartless wretch and Melania is in a state of shock. They are a collective disgrace. Didn’t they know what Trump was really like? Who did? Every single person who met him.
Old Music: I haven’t done it yet, but I am inches from putting together a Future playlist in anticipation of his May 19th Barclay Center gig.
New Music: I’ve been listening to the rough cuts from the New York State Poet Laureate Yusef Komunyakaa and True Groove’s Tomas Doncker’s re-recorded first album The Mercy Suite. “Deja Vu” is so unlike Doncker’s current work, I am used to his agitprop now, it is strange to hear him in full on romantic mode.
Poetry: Speaking of Yusef Komunyakaa, the Pulitzer Prize winner, Vietnam Vet Bronze star recipient was commissioned by the Smithsonian to write a poem honoring the men and women of the armed forces and here it is.
Sports: The Yanks have played .700 ball through the first six weeks of the season… Mets won as well.
Television: The Sinclair-Tribune deal went through…
France: The Times reports that the Russian hack of Macron’s email account had little effect on the election because the laughingly called French Press had a virtual blackout of the news and France doesn’t have an equivalent to Fox News. That’s a good thing? I’d rather have Le Pen. It is not for the press to decide what news to report, they must report all the news and leave the people to chose whether the choice that they makes even ends a free press.
