The Presidency: This has been the most relentless political month since, I dunno, July 1974. But let me simplify this mess for y’all and for Trump: what is wrong with you, Donald? You were the President Elect and you said “I think it was disgraceful, disgraceful that the intelligence agencies allowed any information that turned out to be so false and fake out. I think it’s a disgrace, and I say that … that’s something that Nazi Germany would have done and did do.” What did you think the CIA were gonna do about it? Sooner or later every secret you have will leak out.

More ABout The Presidency: Whatever else you may say about Trump, he’ll take on anyone about anything…

Even More About The Presidency: That picture above of Trump on the blower with Putain (there’s a French pun for ya!)… one down, five to go.

Old Music: Just so you know, heavy rotation for “Someday Soon,” “Do You Wanna Dance,” “Whatever Way The Wind Blows” “Over My Dead Body,” “Over My Head”, “Californication,” and the Roger Miller “River In The Rain” -the one with “Big River” cast members.

New Music: Maria Taylor’s “If Only” has finally taken up residency, and Ryan Adams masterpiece Prisoner is on First Listen.

Chris Rock On Trump: “We got rid of bullies, when a real one showed up, we didn’t know what to do.” This about money is better: “Whole Foods does not say ‘No Blacks Allowed,’. but a $7 orange does. That’s the new Jim Crow.”

Death: Stanley Bard, who co-owned and ran the Chelsea Hotel, dead at 81. The first lady of jazz piano Barbara Carroll, dead at  92.

Tours:  May 16th, t has two greats, Perfume Genius and serpenthefeet, together at Brooklyn Steel. This is bullshit of intense proportions. I haven’t been near Brooklyn Steel yet but I already know it is T5 101. On a happier note, Future and Migos at Barclays on May 19th, a Friday  -I bet that’s a late night as well but I care a lot less. A new Future album out on Friday…
