Comment: The claim that Billboard’s charts are meaningless is meaningless. Yes, streams on Spotify are a pretty good harbinger as to success but the charts are better, and on the charts, I mean the Hot 100 and the Billboard 200, you get a clearer idea as to the connection of albums with the singles, a lifeblood of pop back and forth. Over the years, the US charts have become more like the UK Charts where outside influences, an appearance on a talk show for instance, can move the needle. The charts have become more malleable, more changeable, more not less reflective.
