Which Country Music Stars Endorse Trump?

Brad Paisley and Trump

Beside Loretta Lynn (who thinks Trump ‘is the only one who’s going to turn this country around’), Kid Rock (is he even country? I don’t know but he is ‘digging Donald Trump’) and Kenny Rodgers (who has declared: ‘He can be president and not owe anybody anything; he’s one of the few people who has the money to do it, and has the guts to do it), who other country star is supporting Trump? Country music is conservative land, we expect fans to endorse the Republican candidate, and the confederate flag, and for each Dixie Chicks, there are at least 10 white rednecks who are reinforcing the clichés. Rural America beyond the south is largely politically uniform and very probably supporting Trump, and these same people also listen to country music

But who else in country music is endorsing Trump?

Justin Moore is a big one. Never heard of him? Me neither, but he is signed to Big Machine Records and has charted eleven times on the Hot Country Songs, with several number ones such as ‘Small Town USA’, ‘If Heaven Wasn’t so far Away’, ‘You Look Like I Need a Drink’, a whole program and he even won the award for New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2014…. At the beginning of this year, he said this during an episode of CMT After Midnite:

‘I said a couple of years ago that for the Republican Party to get in the White House it was going to take something completely out of the box in order to make that happen. I think Trump is doing that.’…’I like the fact that he evokes a sense of winning, you know? I know it’s offensive to some people, and I’m not going to say I agree with everything he says, clearly. I think he’s just wacky enough to actually go do it. He doesn’t like to lose. I think he’ll win for our country if he were to get in there.’

So it’s not a totally enthusiastic endorsement, it’s just based on ‘he doesn’t like to lose, he is a winner’, such an embarrassing and simplistic statement, Soy un perdedor, so why don’t you kill me? I am tired of people who think that running a country has to be seen in terms of losers and winners and I am also’ tired of this fake ‘out of the box’ image people are ready to give to Trump. He is deep inside the box, has always schmoozed with politicians and officials, cozy with the rich inside and outside the country.

Country singer songwriter John Rich (Lonestar, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson) has also endorsed Trump, and you have to know he also won the fourth season of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, so that could explain a lot. Last year, he said this to Fox News: ‘I’m glad to see Donald Trump step in. I mean, he’s the only guy that’s gonna say it like he says it. You know, I think whether you agree with everything he says or not, at least you got a guy there who’s not pulling any punches with you. He’s gonna tell you exactly what he thinks, exactly what he feels.’

This idea that Donald Trump says exactly what he thinks shows how delusional these people are, Trump doesn’t even know where he stands on a considerable amount of issues, it simply depends on the time and the audience… he has taken numerous positions that exactly contradict what he has previously said, he doesn’t even know if he is a conservative or a liberal, he said it both, it just depends on the interview,… pro-life, pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, anti-gay marriage, he said it all, every proposition you can think about, Trump has made it — Politico has a nice list — Don’t people see that?

American country and gospel singer and songwriter Larry Wayne Gatlin is another Trump supporter. He is best known for his 80’s band, Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, and he told FOX Business back in June:’ He’s an old friend of mine, Donald doesn’t really make friends — he takes hostages. So I’ve been a hostage for over 40 years. He’s been very nice to me,’ and whatever this means, this is scary. Then he was even ready to give Trump some advise: ‘Talk about really what you’re going to do with ISIS… I want to see how you are going to take 11 million people on day two of your presidency and, you know, put them on trains and all that, get them to [go] back to Mexico. Come on Donald, we don’t believe that, it’s not going to happen… I’ll vote for him but I’m not going to tell anybody else to’. He seems to think his friend is crazy, but he is gonna vote for him anyway.

Another mixed endorsement came from Aaron Lewis, who is borderline country, but since his last release ‘Sinner’ is his third country album and features Willie Nelson, I will includes him here. He is a conservative and has declared this to Billboard:

‘Listen, I like the fact Donald Trump has come in and shaken things up and said a whole lot of things the establishment doesn’t want to hear him say and the people did want to hear him say. But at the same time, there’s an expectation for somebody being presidential in nature, and he disappoints me with the bickering and the name-calling. It’s just not very presidential behavior. But I would certainly vote for him if he becomes the candidate.’

Aaron Lewis should be prepared to be even more disappointed with the name calling in the following weeks.

Robert John Burck, aka Naked Cowboy has also declared his support but does he even count? He only performs in the strrets of Times Square. He tried to run himself for president in the 2012 US election as a Tea Party candidate, so you can be ready for the worst. And this is even worst than what you think, in an interview he declared: ‘Donald Trump is a freaking red-blooded American man. He’s tall, he’s handsome, he’s strong, he successful – these are things you can’t argue with,’ and even though he finds the Donald’s hair a bit weird, he can’t stop praising him: ‘The guy’s like Superman. He’s a leader to guard and protect our country.’ Burck is obviously completely blind (Trump is handsome?) and a pure idiot, or both which is confirmed by the rest of the conversation when he compares himself to Trump.

Then there are all the other ones, who haven’t publicly spoken but it doesn’t mean they don’t have opinions. Actually I could spend a month on Twitter and find more of them, but who has time? Joe Bonsall (The Oak Ridge Boys) tweeted the following: ‘Every second that I watch ‪#DNCinPhilly makes me more and more want to vote for @realDonaldTrump … My head is exploding…’ which is almost an endorsement.

But I kept the best for the end, I found the picture above in Trump’s Twitter feed with the caption ‘.‪@BradPaisley came up to see me. A really nice and talented guy’. Does it mean that Brad Paisley support Trump? No, but it doesn’t look he is for Hillary! And tweets by fans like the ones below, give you a hint about what’s going on at Paisley’s concerts, and there are tons like these. Then, there was this episode narrated by Billboard back in November. Paisley made an opening number for the CMA, that was actually not shown because it featured Trump. He actually recorded a version of The Judds’ ‘Love Can Build A Bridge’ called, ‘Trump Can Build A Bridge,’ which featured Trump as Oz. ‘Like, I am Trump, the great and powerful,’ Paisley said. Sure this could have been a parody, not necessary a praise, but Paisley gets too close to the Trump man for my taste.

It’s worth noting Paisley plays both sides. He did a couple White House shows for Obama and had that song that praised the Stars n Bars a few years ago.

Anyway, if you take the widespread believe that everyone who’s going to vote for Trump is stupid, hateful and bigoted you’re basically saying that anywhere from a third to almost half the country is either mentally ill or subhuman. The people in England surprised by Brexit made the same mistake. Whatever happens in November, this has been coming for a long time.

While it’s obvious we can’t get along or come together in this country, the decisions and conditions that have led to writing off a certain segment of the populace deemed unfit or obsolete has been disastrous for the future. The rage that has developed is not going away.

What the hell is wrong with you, what better honor is to play for President Trump.. I will never see you in the same light again… Traitor. I will not Support you ever again. Are you Not a Patriot. or a money grubber ??? Get off you ass and rethink this over. This Message is to all that refuse to Play for The President. I never thought I’d see this action from a bunch of Cowards.

What have we done? Disheartening that so many are deceived by this robber of common workers, tax evader, champion of higher Medicare age, advocate for self-pay healthcare, proclaimed new-King, friend of the white supremacists, boastful pussy-grabber, and hater of anyone who isn’t white, male, rich, and already powerful.

I feel sorry for the liberals that put their time and effort writing articles that spew hate and divide us as Americans. President Trump’s has not been given a Chance to be anything because of people who write unintelligent articles that are written like a 4th grade child. You point out comments by Trump supportes as if they had no business voting because they lack your same intelligents. Let me ask you this.. Was Hillary Clinton the better solution? I would love to hear the dumb comments from the majority of celebrties that DID vote for her and their reasons why. #1 She’s a woman. So?? #2 She has experience being a politician. So like lying, being fake, and while taking American money and accomplishing nothing for the greater good of America? Hell ya, I vote for change. I voted for Trump. Until you show me better. He’s the only hope we have. So shut up and let’s see what we can do if we UNITE as Americans and pledge our allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
    and to the Republic
    for which it stands,
    one Nation under God,
with liberty and justice for all.
